about

One of James' first ever songs on the guitar. He wanted to make a nice sweet tune with a big oafish swear word in it, and got inspired by the drunks on St James' Street in Brighton, who veer between aggressive, friendly and overly-affectionate in a matter of moments.
NOT auto-biographical.
Much.

lyrics

Pisshead.

I’m dead as a dodo
And flat on my ass
If you take my photo
I’ll show you some class

They call me a pisshead
But what do they know?
There’s more love in this head
Than these eyes can show

From tears and tears
And laughter and laughter
And I’d feel much better
If I had drink
Fears and fears
And laughter and laughter
And I’d feel much better
If I had a drink

These fingers, they touched her
These fingers, they learn
These fingers they loved her
These fingers, they burn

From tears and tears
And laughter and laughter
And I’d feel much better
If I had drink
Fears and fears
And laughter and laughter
And I’d feel much better
If I had a drink

Talking about it
Makes me start to think
Thinking about it
Makes me want to drink

From tears and tears
And laughter and laughter
And I’d feel much better
If I had drink
Fears and fears
And laughter and laughter
And I’d feel much better
If I had a drink
